Welcome to BatchDocs, a bulk PDF document generation platform operated by Nostos ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction (including, where applicable, the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act).

In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between the Korean and English versions of these Terms, the Korean version shall prevail to the extent permitted by applicable law.

1. Description of Service

BatchDocs is a web-based platform that enables users to generate PDF documents by combining PDF templates with structured data from Excel (.xlsx, .xls) or CSV files. The Service includes:

  • Uploading and managing PDF templates
  • Mapping Excel/CSV data fields to PDF template fields
  • Generation preview: view all output PDFs before payment
  • Single PDF generation (free of charge)
  • Bulk PDF generation from mapped data
  • Custom font upload (TTF format) for use in PDF generation
  • Immediate download of generated PDF documents. You may re-download from the download page using the provided button. Once you leave the download page, the generated files are no longer accessible and a new job and payment will be required.

Important Notice

BatchDocs is a document generation tool, not a document storage service. Source data files (Excel/CSV) are processed in memory and not stored on our servers.

Generated PDFs are downloaded immediately upon payment. You may re-download from the download page using the provided button. However, once you leave the download page, the generated files are no longer accessible. If you need to download the same output again, you must restart the process from the beginning and make a new payment. You are solely responsible for saving your generated documents.

Custom fonts (TTF) uploaded by you are stored privately under your account and are permanently deleted immediately upon account deletion or manual font removal.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, using the Service as a guest, or otherwise accessing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Account Registration

You may access the Service through the following methods:

  • Email registration: Register with your email address, a username (minimum 3 characters), and a password (minimum 8 characters).
  • Google OAuth: Sign in using your Google account for convenient registration and login.
  • Guest access: Use the Service without registration in guest mode. Guest accounts are automatically deleted after 24 hours, along with all associated data (templates, fonts, etc.).

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You may not transfer or share your account with any third party. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Payment and Usage Fees

Bulk PDF generation requires payment. Single PDF generation is provided free of charge.

All payments are made on the generation preview page. You review the output first and decide whether to proceed with payment.

  • Unit pricing: 1 document = 1 row = KRW 50. Usage is charged per row regardless of the number of fields in the template.
  • Payment flow: If your remaining document balance covers the requested number of documents, no payment is required — the balance is deducted automatically. If your balance is insufficient, you pay only for the shortfall.
  • Minimum payment: The minimum charge per transaction is KRW 2,500 (equivalent to 50 documents). Even if the shortfall is fewer than 50 documents, KRW 2,500 is charged and 50 documents are added to your balance. Any documents not used in the current request remain in your balance without expiry for future use. (Example 1: You have 10 documents remaining and request 40 → shortfall is 30 documents, but the minimum of KRW 2,500 (50 documents) applies → after generation, 20 documents remain. Example 2: You have 40 documents remaining and request 100 → shortfall is 60 documents = KRW 3,000, which exceeds the minimum, so KRW 3,000 is charged.)
  • Pricing: The actual price at the time of purchase is as displayed on the payment screen in the Service. Prices may vary during promotions or early-adopter periods.
  • Payment processing: All payments are processed through Toss Payments Co., Ltd. (credit/debit cards, bank transfer, and simple payment services such as Toss Pay, Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, and Apple Pay). All transactions are denominated in KRW. We do not store your payment card details.
  • Balance validity: Your remaining document balance does not expire. However, any remaining balance is forfeited upon account deletion.
  • Balance restrictions: Your remaining document balance may only be used within the Service and cannot be transferred to other accounts, converted to cash, or exchanged for services outside the platform.
  • International card payments: If you pay with a card issued outside Korea, your card issuer may apply currency conversion fees and exchange rate markups. These charges are determined by your card issuer and are outside the Company's control.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Toss Payments Co., Ltd. The Company does not store your credit card numbers or other payment method details.

Signup Bonus and Free Documents

Upon completing registration, 20 documents are awarded free of charge. Additional documents may be earned through activities such as writing reviews, submitting feedback, sharing on social media, or referring friends; the number of documents awarded may vary depending on the promotion. Free documents have no monetary value and are not subject to error correction processing.

5. Payment Errors and Service Failure Remedies

Because the Service requires you to review the generation preview before payment, you confirm the output before committing to a purchase. Accordingly, change of mind or dissatisfaction with a generated PDF after payment is not a valid ground for a payment reversal.

The following Company-attributable errors will be remedied upon your request through document balance restoration or payment reversal:

Covered Errors

  • Duplicate charge: The same order (identified by order number) was charged more than once → full reversal of the duplicate amount.
  • Document balance not credited: Payment was successfully processed but the document balance was not updated → balance restoration as the primary remedy; if technically not possible, the corresponding amount will be reversed.
  • Company-attributable service failure: The Service was unavailable due to a Company-caused failure after payment was made, making it impossible to use the Service → reversal of the unused payment amount.

Process and Timelines

  • To report an error, contact us via the in-app inquiry feature, by email at contact@nostoslab.space, or by phone at +82-70-8098-0467.
  • When reporting an error, you must provide the order number, a detailed description of the issue, and supporting evidence (screenshot or screen recording). Processing may be delayed if required information is missing. We may request additional information as needed to resolve the issue.
  • Errors are resolved within 3 business days of the report.
  • Amounts are returned to the original payment method in KRW. If you paid with an internationally issued card, the returned amount in your local currency may differ from the original charge due to exchange rate fluctuations. Such differences are outside the Company's responsibility.

EU/EEA Statutory Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU). However, by downloading generated PDFs after confirming the generation preview, you acknowledge that the digital content has been fully performed and expressly consent to waive your right of withdrawal for the consumed portion, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the Directive.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Service IP: All intellectual property rights in the Service (software, design, trademarks, etc.) belong to the Company.
  • Your content: You retain all rights to the PDF templates, fonts, Excel/CSV data you upload, and the PDF documents generated through the Service.
  • Limited license: By uploading content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not use your content for any other purpose.
  • Your warranty: You represent and warrant that the content you upload does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights. You are solely responsible for any disputes arising from your uploaded content.

Font Usage and Licensing

  • Built-in fonts provided by the Service are licensed under open-source licenses (such as SIL Open Font License, Apache License 2.0) that permit free commercial use.
  • Fonts uploaded by you are stored in isolated, private storage accessible only to your account. They are not shared with or accessible to any other users.
  • When you delete a font or your account, the font file is permanently and immediately deleted from our servers.
  • You represent and warrant that you have a valid license to use any font you upload to the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with the font's license terms, including any restrictions on commercial use.
  • We use your uploaded fonts solely to process your document generation requests and do not copy, distribute, or provide them to any third party for any purpose.
  • If we receive a copyright infringement claim from a font rights holder regarding a font you uploaded, we will notify you and may restrict access to the affected font as necessary.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Misappropriate or misuse another person's personal information
  • Generate or distribute documents that violate applicable laws or public order
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation (e.g., hacking, DDoS attacks)
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service's software
  • Generate illegal content, including but not limited to forged documents, fraudulent materials, or obscene content
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

Consequences of Violations

If you violate these obligations, the Company may, after providing prior notice where practicable, restrict your access, suspend your account, or terminate your agreement. You are liable for any damages incurred by the Company or third parties as a result of your violation.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legal validity of documents generated through the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for matters where liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

The Company is not responsible for the inaccessibility of generated documents after the user leaves the download page. The Service is a document generation tool, not a storage service. Users are solely responsible for saving their generated documents immediately after download.

If documents are incorrectly deducted due to a technical error, the Company will restore the affected document count. Cash refunds are not provided in lieu of restoration.

For consumers in the EU/EEA, this limitation does not apply to damages caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Company, or to any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.

10. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting our support team.
  • Upon termination, your account data, uploaded templates, fonts, and associated data will be deleted and permanently purged within 7 days of the termination date. Data cannot be recovered after permanent deletion.
  • Guest accounts are automatically deleted 24 hours after creation.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, after providing prior notice where reasonably practicable.
  • Certain information, such as inquiry records, may be retained after account deletion as required by applicable law.
  • Any remaining document balance is forfeited upon account termination and will not be returned. If you have an unresolved payment error, please contact support under Section 5 before terminating your account.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Suwon District Court in the Republic of Korea. However, consumers may bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence under applicable consumer protection laws.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you are a consumer residing in the EU/EEA, you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms shall deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection rights under the laws of your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.

If you are a California resident, you retain any rights under California consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.

Users may apply for dispute mediation to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee under Article 43 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms and notify you through the Service at least 7 days before the changes take effect. For changes that are materially adverse to you, we will provide at least 30 days' notice.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
